Welcome to the Symposium on Digital Trust and Cybersecurity
The Vancouver Symposium in January 2023 brings together Ministers and Deputy Ministers from across Canada. It’s a clear indication of our commitment to act.
We are looking for ways to make it possible for every province and territory to move ahead with digital trust solutions.
Topics at a Glance
Jurisdictional Showcases
Highlighting cross-jurisdiction collaboration and work in progress from British Columbia, Québec, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Alberta.
Enabling Indigenous languages in identity records/systems
Systems are connected by the data they share. Changes to identity data will impact all systems downstream and could unwittingly disrupt system dependencies- cutting off citizens’ access to critical services. Approaches must be co-developed with Indigenous peoples, carefully coordinated across the entire service journey, and account for interdependencies.
Strength in Numbers: Pan-Canadian Collaboration on Cybersecurity
The panel will put focus on the opportunities for cross-jurisdictional collaboration to enable better information sharing and incident response by identifying barriers and proposing solutions for consideration.
